This webpage is dedicated to warn you about work at home scams! Please be careful and do NOT fall into these traps, especially during these hard economic times. Internet scammers know it and they are preying on you! We have seen too many of our friends and family make that desperate decision to make a few extra dollars (that sounds too easy) and wound up losing hundreds and even thousands of dollars... There are some (a very few) ligitimate work from home jobs out there, but just remember if it's too good to be true, it is! (For example: "Make $$$ for only a few hours a day." is too good to be true.)

With the rise of the Internet and e-mail, getting a phony ad or message out to a vast audience is cheap and easy. Even though the old work-at-home scams have taken on a modern twist, the typical profile of victims who are most susceptible to these scams has changed very little. Work-at-home con artists have always preyed most heavily upon senior citizens, the disabled, mothers who want to stay at home with their children, people with low income and few job skills, and people who just want to get rich quick. The internet is simply the newest arena that scam artists have entered to widen their hunt for more people to dupe. To avoid falling for work-at-home scams, both on- and off-line, look for the following warning signs: * Overstated claims of product effectiveness; * Never offer you regular salaried employment. Here are some more rules, tips, do's and don't for avoiding work at home scams: o Never pay for any subscriptions or for work from home starter package, even if it's only $1. (That's how these scammers are making money off you.) A legitimate job should NEVER ask you to pay to get info or to apply for the job. o If it sounds too good to be true, it is! For example: "Make $500 a week working from home for only a few hours." o Watch out for statements like "I am a work at home mom and I am making $1000 a week ..." or "I have young children and this work from home program allows my schedule to be flexible to spend time with my children..." or "I have tried them all and this is an honest way to make money working at home ..." o Watch out for statements like: "I am a single mother living in [your town and state] with my two beautiful children. This blog started because I was tired of the scams. I finally found how to work at home, so I started this website to provide the latest online work from home tips. " o Watch out for statements like: "I had finally found the only scam-free way to making money at home." Then asks you to click a link and pay a small fee to get the information. Don't fall for it. o When it reads "This is not a scam", you got it! It's a scam. Don't fall for it. o Although there are a few legitimate and only a very few work from home jobs or opportunities, you still have to put in lots of time and hard work. And you should NOT have to pay ANY amount of money (even just $1.00) . If you have to pay any fee, then it's a scam. Do your homework and research! o Don't subcribe to wholesale lists or lists or instructions for how to buy brand name products cheap (like handbags, toys, electronics, furniture, etc). Don't fall for the trap. Those lists are fakes and websites they point to are fakes or out of date. o Don't ever give out your personal information online. The identity thief is just on the other end waiting for it from you.
